President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle travelled to Fort Hood, Texas to attend the memorial of 13 slain last Thursdays shooting spree.

The president speaking at the memorial said the killer would be met with justice - in this world and the next.

This is a time of war. And yet these Americans did not die on a foreign field of battle, Obama added.
