Kim Kardashian has endured much public scrutiny since filing for divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage, but the reality star says she has learned from it. On last night's The Tonight Show Kardashian opened up about her ongoing divorce. She provided a little more insight as to what was going on through it all initially.

I learned so many lessons about it, and it's changed who I am as a person, I think for the better, Kardashian said on The Tonight Show. The things that I care about in life have completely changed because of this, so I really think everything happens for a reason.

Kardashian said that there were signs and some of her family tried to warn about rushing into marrying Humphries, but that she didn't listen.

I'm a person where when I'm in love, you can't tell me anything, Kardashian, 31, said on Wednesday's Tonight Show with Jay Leno. You gotta go through it yourself.

And she has gone through it, but not really by herself. She has done it in front of millions of people and has the support of her family, but that is the way Kardashian lives her life - an open book.

It was really hard to go through, probably the toughest thing I ever had to go through, but I had my family there, she said. We are exactly who we are whether the cameras are on or off, and that's why I love my family so much. I've showed my life and the reality of my life, and it might not be pretty all the time, but it's who I am and I've learned so much from it.
