Kim Kardashian Wedding Inspires Gold Commemorative Coin

Fans of American reality TV star Kim Kardashian who want a keepsake of her $10 million, uber-publicized wedding may soon have a chance to buy a solid gold commemorative coin celebrating the queen of glam's over-the-top nuptials.

GoldCoin.net has created a first-ever prototype of a 24-karat gold commemorative coin and is testing the waters to see if there is enough demand to justify production.

If there is the company estimates the cost of the one-ounce coin would be about 18 percent over the spot price, said GoldCoin's John Halloran. At about $1,880 that would bring the cost of one such coin to roughly $2,200.

Here's what that will buy you, assuming GoldCoin goes ahead with the venture: On one side will be likenesses of Kim and Kris Humphries with their names displayed on the top and August 20, 2011 displayed on the bottom; on the other side will be Kim's $2 million engagement ring with Together Forever displayed on the top and Only Time Will Tell on the bottom.
