Kris Jenner spoke out after reports broke that estranged husband Bruce Jenner was dating her best friend Ronda Kamihira. The Kardashian matriarch appeared on NBC's “Today Show” to promote her new cookbook and opened up about the latest buzz when asked about Bruce’s dating life.

“I just want him to be happy. I don’t care who he goes out with,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality star said. “And I don’t know who he's dating. He doesn’t, like, check in and give me a play-by-play.”

It was originally reported that Kris Jenner was “devastated” to hear Bruce and Kamihira were together, but she said she just wanted to best for her ex. "It’s his life, and you just want the guy to be happy,” she said. “He’s still the father of two of my children, so we’re friends.”

Her statement Monday contrasted with reports that surfaced when it was revealed Jenner was apparently dating her friend. “It hurts badly because Ronda was one of her go-to girls when she was contemplating filing for divorce from Bruce,” a source told Hollywood Life.

“Ronda was also one of the first to know Bruce was moving out. Kris talked to her about everything in life, everything. Ronda was her girl and confidant for years. She’s told her things that are so private to her, including bedroom secrets,” the insider added.

But Kris Jenner had nothing but kind words for Bruce, the 1976 Olympic decathlon champion, during the interview Monday. She even defended him when confronted with rumors about him allegedly transitioning into a woman. “They’ve been saying that since the ’70s. You’d think that’d be cooked by now,” she said. “It just continues, since the ’70s. Like they all do, they just keep regurgitating the same old stuff.”
