The hosting capabilities of “Bad Moms” star Kristen Bell will be put to the test now that she has been chosen to become the first host of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

It will be the first time the SAG Awards will have a live emcee since its inaugural program in 1995, according to Entertainment Weekly. Bell announced that she will be the host for the industry union’s 24th annual awards show on Twitter, and she encouraged people to tune in on Jan. 21, 2018.

“Hey, guys! Guess what? I’ve been asked to host the SAG Awards this year, which means, to all my friends who’ve been nominated, I get to choose who wins!” she happily said, before turning to someone off-camera after being told her statement was wrong. “That’s not how it works? Then what am I doing? Like, Anne Hathaway and James Franco did? I’m doing that? Why, did I lose a bet?”

Bell then said she better get some advice from someone who already experienced hosting for the SAG Awards. But since she’s the first, the actress jokingly wondered if she can still get out of it.

“Have I already committed to this? Give me a second,” she told viewers before reaching for her phone and calling the president of the SAG Awards.

Bell confessed it’s way “too much pressure” to be the first host of the SAG Awards, but since she has already signed the contract, there’s no weaselling out of the job. “What do legal ramifications even mean?” Bell demanded before the video came to an end.

For now, Bell is busy promoting her new film, “A Bad Moms Christmas.” As a mother herself, Bell said parenthood can get tough - especially since parents often lack sleep.

“I think that fuels everything,” Bell told Us Weekly of her lack-of-sleep status. “It fuels my lack of patience with my kids sometimes. If I had had a full night’s rest, I would be able to be more patient with them sometimes.”

She added that her kids’ wake-up calls in the morning are actually her version of a horror film, since she always yearns for those few precious minutes of extra sleep. “My current alarm clock is the blood-curdling screams that I wake up to,” she said. “I bolt down the hallway thinking that someone’s fallen out of their crib or broken their arm or, I don’t know, drowning in the sink, and then they’re just like ‘Good morning, Mommy!’”
