People.com is reporting that Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were evacuated from the Vancouver Island beach area in British Columbia after a tsunami warning was issued.

Stewart and Lautner, along with other cast and crew of Twilight are in British Columbia filming the next installment of the Twilight series Breaking Dawn.

After a 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan, Hawaii and the North American West Coast were placed on tsunami advisories.

According to the report the actors are not believed to be in any danger, but were moved out of the region as a safety measure.

The cast and crew of the Twilight phenomenon are in a town called Tofino, which contains a long stretch of open coast on the furthest west point of the island. Scenes from The Twilight Saga: New Moon were also filmed at this location.
