“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kylie Jenner wore a silver embellished dress by Labourjoisie to NBC Universal's 74th Annual Golden Globes After Party at The Beverly Hilton Hotel Sunday night, but what some fans noticed most was her distinctive scar. While it’s not something the makeup maven talks about regularly, she did explain the scar mark years ago.

It all happened during a game of hide-and-seek. When Jenner got bored of waiting, things turned gruesome.

“Yes, I do have a scar on my leg,” she told a fan during a Q&A for CeleBuzz in 2011. “When I was about 5 my sister and I were playing hide and seek and I hid inside this really tall-enclosed gate. After a while when my sister didn’t find me I had to climb up on this sharp pole sticking out from the gate. I slipped and the pole went into my leg. I tried pulling away to get the pole out but it just tore through my whole leg. It’s smaller now though because I grew!”

I love my scar

As her fame grew, more people started to notice the scar. Jenner took to Instagram to proclaim her fondness for the mark. “I love my scar,” she captioned a photo of the healed wound. The post garnered more than 830,000 likes from her 83.1 million followers.

The raven-haired beauty and her sister, model Kendall Jenner, wore matching top knot buns to the Golden Globes after party. The two ate pizza and took a slew of selfies on Snapchat.

Jenner, 19, disappointed fans last week when she revealed she would not personally post to her app any longer after her team accidentally posted a “very personal” message about boyfriend Tyga that she did not write.

“Hey guys from now on I won't be posting personally on my app anymore,” the Lip Kit mogul tweeted Tuesday. “A post went up today quoting something that I NEVER EVER said or saw. A very personal post that I would never ever approve. And it's unfair to me and you to think that those were my words. I'm sorry and I know we will figure something out so we can all be satisfied.”
