Lady Gaga’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, is a force of his own in the fashion industry.

The fashion director has not only helped create unforgettable looks for the pop star but he also helms his own fashion brand, Nicopanda. Formichetti, who has amassed a cult following over the years, was scheduled to host a three-day pop-up event this weekend in New York City, straight out of the Nicopanda store location.

“Nicola’s Garage” will officially open Friday at noon EST, the stylist announced Sunday on his Instagram page. The pop-up event, which will include scores of Formichetti’s own personal designer wares and costumes, will run through Sunday. All three days, fans will be able to shop the swag from noon through 6 p.m. The event will be located at 50 White Street in Manhattan.

The offerings were expected to include rare, one-of-a-kind pieces from Nicopanda, archival pieces from the House of Formichetti and personal possessions and apparel from the stylist’s own closet.

More than 5,000 items in total will be for sale at the ‘garage sale,’ WWD reported Tuesday. Shoppers can expect a pop-up setup complete with various themed rooms, including a library decked out with magazines and books. Formichetti will even DJ the event on Saturday.

The idea stemmed from a famous seasonal event – spring cleaning. “It started as we were thinking about doing a Nicopanda sample sale, just for Nicopanda,” Zacharri Lobo, Nicopanda digital and marketing director, said of the event, via WWD. “I would say he has a bigger following than the brand so we said, ‘Maybe we can incorporate you into the sale?’ And he said, ‘Actually, I’ve wanted to do a spring cleaning for so long.’”

Formichetti also wanted to give back. The proceeds from the sale will go to the American Refugee Committee, according to the Instagram announcement.

Best tip? Get there well in advance. With rare and select items available, expect a crowd. Only 10 people at a time will be admitted.
