Former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom has lost another friend. Less than a week after Jamie Sangouthai died from a heroin-related death, Bobby Heyward died allegedly from a drug overdose Saturday, Us Weekly reported. The news site added the Los Angeles County Coroner's office confirmed his death, but did not list a cause of death. He was 30 years old.

The last time Heyward took to Instagram, it was to write a tribute to his late friend. "#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers #tbt," he captioned the photo. Odom also was present for the picture.

Linda Thompson, the former actress who used to be married to Caitlyn Jenner, also posted an Instagram message after hearing about Heyward’s death. Heyward was the son of her friend Evelyn Heyward. "Please keep my lovely friend Evelyn Heyward in your prayers as she mourns the loss of her cherished son, Bobby, pictured here. Bobby posted this photo not long ago with the hashtag #mommasboy,” she said. The photo showed Evelyn and Bobby together.

Odom has not released a public statement since either of his friends died. Earlier reports said he struggled with Sangouthai’s death after he learned his friend used heroin intravenously. "Lamar just found out the results and is even more devastated," a source told Us Weekly on Thursday, referring to his friend’s cause of death. "Because he didn't know Jamie was suffering so much and using needles."

Sangouthai died from necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating bacterial skin infection that can be contracted from IV drug use. Up to 30 percent of reported cases in the U.S. lead to death. He was 37.
