Lana Del Rey sent a very strong message to paparazzi in her brand-new music video: Let her get "High by the Beach," or else.
"High by the Beach" is Del Rey's second released track from her new album, "Honeymoon," due out in September. The music video, which has already racked up 1.6 million views in a day, is making waves for how bizarre it is. Could it be a sign of what's to come on the new album? Only time will tell. In the mean time, below are four of the most ridiculous moments from the video:
1. Rolling on the Bed Randomly
This scene sets the tone for the rest of the video. Del Rey in a way acted like she really was high on the beach in this scene as she walks around her room, looks at a mirror and then rolls around on her bed for a few moments before stopping and heading downstairs to the kitchen. "Is she ok?" is likely the first question to pop in your head at this point in the video.
2. Window Scene
A helicopter is literally right outside an open window in Del Rey's kitchen. On the helicopter is a photographer taking tabloid pictures of her. Del Rey dances in the wind caused by the helicopter in a really strange and ridiculous moment.
3. The Gun
Del Rey channels her inner El Mariachi (Antonio Banderas) from "Desperado," when she sets down a guitar case on her porch and opens it revealing some heavy fire power. Although would you really expect her to be hiding an actual guitar in the rocks on the beach outside of her house?
4. Taking Out The Helicopter
Although you have a feeling something is going to happen when she pulls out this massive gun, it's still a little surprising when she takes a shot at the helicopter and it explodes. As the burning debris flies through the air, the viewer gets an up-close look at burning tabloid papers, which makes the message of the video pretty clear: Paparazzi should leave Del Rey alone or she may have a surprise for you in her guitar case.
