Land Securities Group Plc has announced that the City of London Planning Committee resolved to grant it planning permission for its proposed development at 20 Fenchurch Street.

The proposed building is designed by Rafael Vinoly, and will be a 525ft 37 storey complex. It will have a total of around 600,000 sq ft of office and retail space.

The design also includes a public "Sky Garden' at the top of the building, which will be the highest "accessible park' in London.

The intention is to go to the market to seek a pre let of part of the building before construction begins on the site, when full planning permission is obtained.
