Lauren Conrad graces the May cover of Glamour magazine in all sorts of topless.

Wearing nothing but a pair of floral bikini bottoms, the 26-year-old shows off her super toned body, just in time for summer (the issue is deemed the swimsuit edition, anyway).

On Tuesday, the magazine released a preview of the interview (the issue comes out Apr. 10), which includes insight into the last days of The Hills, Conrad's new book and her critics.

I would film [The Hills] all day, and then I had several other businesses on the side: in the last season I was running a clothing line and writing a novel. I work really, really hard, she told Glamour.

Her new book, The Fame Game, officially arrives in stores on Tuesday, along with an 11-city book tour that kicks off in New York City's Barnes & Noble in Union Square.

The book, which centers on 19-year-old Madison Parker and the trials and tribulations of being famous, is a follow-up to Conrad's previous releases, L.A. Candy (2009), Sweet Little Lies: An L.A. Candy Novel (2010), Sugar and Spice: An L.A. Candy Novel (2010) and her style book, Lauren Conrad Style (2010).

The Fame Game will be part of a series, with the second edition, Starstruck, scheduled for a fall 2012 release.

I knew people who called the paparazzi on themselves! Their point of view is, 'They're going to photograph me anyway, and this way I get paid half of what they make.' I could never bring myself to do it, but it was kind of fun to write it from that point of view, Conrad revealed to Glamour.

Conrad also admitted that she never once tuned in to an episode of The Hills, which aired for six seasons on MTV before calling it quits in July 2010.

I didn't ever watch it . . . I swear on my life! I only watched the last minute and a half at the finale party, she said.

As for her love life, Conrad has remained mum on who she's dating these days. In January, Conrad split from actor Kyle Howard (The Love Boat, My Boys), after a three-year romance.

I wish I dated as much as people thought I did! It's really funny because almost everyone that I'm reportedly 'dating' is a friend of mine. About half my friends are guys, and I've always gotten along really well with guys. You just have to laugh at it, she told Glamour.
