China notebook of light weight and mobility took a major attraction in the market due to demand in low pricing pressure, according to market research firm DRAMeXchange on Tuesday.

Lenovo remain in the top market capturing 30% share of the Chinese notebook, according to DRAMeXchange, followed by HP which ranked No.2 of 15% and Dell No.3 of 13%.

In china, consumers like to buy 14”to 15.9” screen size notebook at a price range of RMB$5,000 to RMB$5,500, while netbooks range of RMB$2,000 and RMB$2,500, said DRAMeXchange. That pricing pressure from netbooks will impact the traditional notebook market share.

Taiwan-based Asus also gains 10% in the rank of No.4, Japan’ 5th placer Sony and Acer positions at No.6 took 5% market share.

DRAMeXchange now sees Chinese notebook market would increase up to 15 million units in 2009 compared with 12 million units a year earlier.
