Leona Lewis put her foot in her mouth when she shared her startling views about who should be cast the film adaptation of the best-selling E.L. James series “50 Shades of Grey,” in a recent interview with MTV News,The 27-year-old “X Factor” judge, who has publicly admitted to being a fan of the kinky novel, was asked by an interviewer which pop star she would most like to see play Christian Grey – the young business mogul who introduces the book’s female protagonist to the world of BDSM.

"For Christian Grey it has to be someone really hot and super smooth,” replied Lewis. “Why am I just thinking of Chris Brown? Maybe Chris Brown!"

Lewis, who seemed to be unbothered by Brown’s criminal record, also proposed pop singer Taylor Swift for the role of Anastasia Steele.

Brown, who Lewis went on to describe as “really hot,” was famously convicted of felony assault charges in 2009, after beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna during a heated argument in Brown’s car on the evening before the Grammy awards.

In a photograph that quickly went viral on the internet, Rihanna was shown after the incident with a black eye, cut lip, and bruises and lacerations covering her face.

In the affidavit published by the Smoking Gun, Los Angeles Police Officer De Shon Andrew testified that Rihanna said the couple had gotten into a verbal argument when she found a three page text message on Brown’s phone from a woman he had previously been involved with.

According to Andrews, Brown tried to force Rihanna out of the car during the fight, and when he was unable to do that, began punching her. “Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, ‘I’m going to beat the s—t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!’ stated Andrews in the testimony.

The detective later added that Brown apologized to the singer nine days later, in a text message.

Rihanna later stunned the world when she revealed in an interview with Oprah that she was still in love with the R&B singer. "We're very, very close friends. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will,” Rihanna told the talk show host.

The two have been photographed spending time together recently, sparking rumors of a romantic reconciliation. Adding fuel to that theory, Brown announced that he had broken up with longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran earlier this week, citing Rihanna as the reason for their separation.

“I have decided to be single to focus on my career,” said Brown, in a statement. “I love Karrueche very much, but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single, allowing us to both be happy in our lives.”
