Sherry Johnston, mother of Levi Johnston, who was arrested on December 18 on charges of selling OxyContin has spoken out for the first time since the arrest.

She said she become hooked on the drug after a hysterectomy eight years ago, which led to seven additional surgeries, according to People magazine.

I was in pain, and I'm still in pain. I have been trying for years to deal with the pain. I have a medical pump inside of me. I'd rather not comment any more but it's not everything that they're saying, she told People magazine.

Regarding the birth of Levi and Bristol Palin's son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, she commented I'm very excited. Absolutely.
