Italian giants Inter Milan are rumored to have their sights locked on Liverpool's Danish center-back Daniel Agger and if the reports turn out to be true, the Nerazzurri will make a bold £15 million bid for the player as soon as the January transfer window opens.

Agger, currently, is one of the most popular players at Anfield since his arrival from Danish club Brondby in January 2006. However, he has been under constant injury threats which has forced the club to consider his position and the number of games he can actually manage in a season.

Inter, on the other hand, are on the lookout for a defender who is an experienced campaigner and can slot into the team's current defensive line-up. It seems that Agger has been identified by the Italian club as someone who fits their requirements.

There were minor speculations about Agger leaving the club last season, according to a Footylatest.com report.

Daniel Munthe Agger, for whom the Liverpool fans have created a song to the tune of Agadoo (a novelty song by Black Lace), started his senior career with Brondby IF in July 2004 and with whom he won the 2005 Danish Superliga Championship.

Agger, when he arrived at Liverpool in a £6 million transfer, became, at the time, the club's most expensive defensive signing. He has made 101 appearances for the Reds and has also made 42 appearances for Denmark.
