Loretta Lynn, a country legend is working on two album projects for release this year in a follow up to her 2004 crossover hit, Van Leader Rose, according to Billboard.

Lynn says new material could be ready by late spring. The style will be traditional country that deals with modern issues.

(A friend) told me: 'Loretta, don't quit writing, because if you do, no one in Nashville is writing songs,' Lynn tells Billboard.

Second project will consist of Lynn's number one hits from the past four decade and is being produced by John Carter Cash and could be out this summer.
