‘Lucifer’
How will Lucifer (Tom Ellis) react when he sees Sinnerman face-to-face in “Lucifer” Season 3? Fox

“Lucifer” Season 3 will introduce a new character named Sinnerman in its upcoming episodes.

According to TV Line’s Michael Ausiello, the male character is currently being cast by the producers of the Fox series. Sinnerman is described as a slightly depraved criminal mastermind, who Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) suspects was responsible for kidnapping him in Season 2.

In the finale episode last season, Lucifer woke up in the middle of a desert alone. Lucifer got his wings back, but he is unsure how exactly this happened. While at the 2017 San Deigo Comic-Con, Ellis revealed that Lucifer will suspect that his dad had something to do with the return of his angel wings. But by the looks of it, there’s more to Lucifer’s sudden disappearance than just the return of his wings.

Meanwhile, Sinnerman won’t be the only new addition to “Lucifer” Season 3. Last month, Fox announced that “Smallville” alum Tom Welling will join the series as an accomplished police lieutenant named Marcus Pierce. Marcus is everything that Lucifer isn’t. He is described as a strategic, reserved and well-respected police officer. It is possible that Marcus will be working closely with Chloe Decker (Lauren German) in the upcoming episodes.

But if Lucifer and Marcus have some differences, the two characters will also have similarities with each other. “Both men are charismatic, charming and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker, Lucifer’s devilish traits are inflamed,” the official description read (via Spoilers Guide).

In other news, the titles for the first three episodes of “Lucifer” Season 3 have already been released. On the official Twitter account of the writers of “Lucifer,” copies of the front cover of the three scripts were uploaded. Episode 1 is called “They’re Back, Aren’t They” and was written by showrunner Ildy Modrovich. Episode 2 is titled “The One With the Baby Carrot” and was written and directed by executive producer Joe Henderson and Louis Milito, respectively.

“Lucifer” Season 3, episode 3 is titled “What Would Lucifer Do?” and was written by Jason Ning and directed by Eagle Egilsson.

“Lucifer” Season 3 will premiere on Fox on Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. EST.
