It's that time of the year again! The 41st annual "Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" arrives Tuesday to commemorate Independence Day. This year's observance will return to the East River, launching the big two-hour live event on NBC.

Daytime celebrations may be designated for poolside lounging, cookouts and festive parades, but nighttime kickstarts an unforgettable fireworks show for the masses. Likewise, Macy's event happens to be the most popular way to celebrate the holiday because it possesses one of the best 4th of July fireworks show's in the country.

"Whether you're already in the city or planning to visit, the event promises to be a stunning spectacle to watch in person and a great way to honor Independence Day," Macy's said on their website. "If you're not local, be sure to catch the major display televised live on NBC."

This year's event will boast a 25-minute presentation that is set to include a number of one-of-a-kind firework effects. If you plan to watch the fireworks in person, then you should prepare to arrive at your viewing spot early to get the best spot possible.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) will close off several street locations to allow for the show to proceed smoothly. Leading into Independence Day, MTA listed areas that will be closed to accommodate holiday celebrations, which is viewable here. Likewise, those interested in scouting the best location to view the fireworks can head to MTA's website to use its TripPlanner to plan their trip accordingly.

The event's promotional website recommends neighborhoods that will have ideal viewing spots to suit the needs of viewers. Suggested neighborhoods include Midtown (Manhattan), Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and Long Island City (Queens). However, Macy's also provided a list of official viewing locations for their Independence Day celebration on their website, too.

Fireworks are set to start at roughly 9:25 p.m. ET/PT.

Several musical guests are set to take center stage to help bring in the holiday spirit. Brad Paisley, Hailee Steinfeld and Lady Antebellum are among this year's star-studded lineup. This year’s event will be hosted by "American Ninja Warrior" hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Matt Iseman and Kristine Leahy.

Although Macy's show will be broadcast on NBC, viewers who do not have access to a television may view it online, as it will be viewable on live stream here. Macy's annual "4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" has wowed the public for years, making its televised debut in 1976.
