A South Carolina man allegedly fatally shot his wife and stepdaughter inside their house, before turning the gun on himself.

The domestic-related incident took place around 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Bliss Lane, near the Red Bank area of Lexington County.

William Peter Busick, 55, shot his wife, Chastity Lynne Busick, 48, and his stepdaughter, Jasmine Alyse Bailey, 23, multiple times, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, before killing himself, The State reported.

He suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was immediately transported to a nearby, where he was pronounced dead shortly after, Fisher added.

"Both Mrs. Busick and Ms. Bailey were pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Busick sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at an area hospital," the Coroner's Office posted on Facebook.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon issued a press release, revealing there was a minor inside the house during the incident, and she remained unharmed.

A family member told WACH the minor was the 8-year-old daughter of William and Chastity. Investigators spoke to the minor about what she saw during the incident. However, the authorities have not revealed her answers.

Neighbors also told the outlet they didn't really know the family well, as they had recently moved to the area.

The sheriff's officials said this was not the first time deputies responded to the house. They had previously responded to a "nonviolent domestic related call" at the scene.

Officials were talking to family and neighbors "in an effort to gather all the information." "This family has a tough road ahead," the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff confirmed no other injuries were reported.

"Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident. There is no ongoing threat to the public," Koon said.

The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
