Mariah Carey's Los Angles mansion was burglarized late Thursday and thieves stole items worth $50,000, TMZ reported. The singer has a net worth of $520 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the burglars got in through a window or door on an upper floor. Police found a ladder, which they think was used by the burglars, in the backyard. Burglars did trip a silent alarm when they entered her home, but her security team did not notice the break-in until a few hours later.

The thieves stole $50,000 worth of purses and sunglasses and surprisingly didn't take any of the mother-of-two's pricey jewelry.

Police are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made so far, TMZ reported.

Jason Derulo, Alanis Morissette, David Spade, Emmy Rossum and Scott Disick have all been victims of home burglary this year.

Carey was not harmed in the burglary as she is currently living in New York.

Just a day before the burglary, the 47-year-old singer was spotted heading out for a low-key dinner in NYC. She wore a plunging vest and leggings combo, layered beneath a leather bomber jacket, as she enjoyed a night off with friends.

Carey has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. In 2000, she was given a $100 million recording contract with Virgin, one of the biggest contracts in the industry.

Carey's debut album, Mariah Carey, reached number one on the Billboard charts and earned her a Grammy for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. She has five Grammys and more than 30 nominations.

She has won 14 Billboard Music Awards in her career and has been nominated 25 times. She and her “Precious” co-stars were nominated for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture at the SAG Awards in 2010. Carey was nominated for a second SAG Award in 2014 in the same category for her role in "The Butler."

She was married to Columbia Records producer Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1997. Later in 2008, she got married to Nick Cannon but the couple divorced in 2014 and it was finalized in 2016. The pair had twins together before splitting in 2016.

After her split with Cannon, the singer met James Packer in 2015 and they dated for a year before he proposed in January 2016. But the couple called it quits in October of the same year.

Carey later sparked up a relationship with Brian Tanaka, one of her longtime backup dancers.

Apart from her singing career, Carey also did TV and movies.

After a brief stint on “American Idol” in 2013, Carey decided to get back into TV. She appeared on a limited reality series called "Mariah’s World." The E! show followed Carey, her backup dancers and other employees/friends on tour.

This year in March, Carey announced that she would be turning her hit single "All I Want For Christmas Is You" into a movie. She shared the exciting news on Instagram along with a cartoon caricature of a snow-covered house.
