The financial and critical success of The Social Network has spawned a comic book about the life and successes of Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.

Bluewater Productions Inc, a Vancouver based independent comic book studio has created and is releasing a comic book on the life and success of Zuckerberg. The comic book will be titled, Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook, and is 48-pages. It was written by freelance journalist Jerome Maida and illustrated by Sal Field.

The comic book will be on comic book stores, newsstands and available digitally on Wednesday for $5.59.

This is a fascinating story. I enjoyed researching it because it's extremely compelling. Think about it. Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire on the planet and created something that has already had a profound impact on the world, Maida said in a statement.

The script will apparently take the same tone towards Zuckerberg as the movie, written by Aaron Sorkin, did. In the movie, Zuckerberg was portrayed as cold, calculating and unaware of social situations. However, Maida says his version is more balanced portrayal of the famous billionaire.

Rightly or wrongly, Mark dealt harshly with some people on his way to where he is today. As we see, he left many people feeling betrayed. I try my best to be fair here. No one is totally innocent in this story. I try to represent each of the major players' point of view, Maida said.

Zuckerberg famously called The Social Network a complete work of fiction. Facebook did not respond to an inquiry for comment.
