Stocks ended higher on Friday, as fears the credit crisis may wreak yet more havoc on Wall Street were offset by a robust jobs report and strength in technology shares.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 27.23 points, or 0.20 percent, to end unofficially at 13,595.10. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 1.21 points, or 0.08 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,509.65. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 15.55 points, or 0.56 percent, to close unofficially at 2,810.38.

For the week, the Dow was down 1.5 percent and the S&P was down 1.7 percent, but the Nasdaq was up 0.2 percent.
