Mayim Bialik is divorcing her husband Michael Stone after nine years of marriage, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

The actress, who is best known for her role as “Blossom” on the 1990s sitcom and now for “The Big Bang Theory,” took to her blog to announce the divorce:

"After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to 'Irreconcilable Differences,'" the actress, 36, wrote on parenting site Kveller.

"Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly."

Bialik and Stone married in August 2003 and have two children together: sons Milkes, 7, and Frederick, 4, whom she would allegedly allow to sleep in her bed with her husband.

The actress advocates “attachment parenting” but said the divorce has nothing to do with that philosophy.

"The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose," Bialik explained in the blog post.

"The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health, and that's what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain."
