Meghan Markle is not expecting based on what she did in Ireland.

According to Francesca Specter, a journalist for Daily Express, the Duchess of Sussex hinted about the pregnancy rumors involving her. In a dinner party in Glencaim House, Dublin, where Prince Harry and Markle attended, she was seen raising a glass of champagne for a toast and drinking it afterwards.

A number of women avoid alcohol when they are expecting due to health risks of fetal alcohol syndrome. So, taking this into consideration, it is unlikely that Markle is pregnant.

"While a glass or two isn't deemed any great issue for pregnant women, we can't imagine hitting the booze would be the first thing on Meg's list to do in the early stages of pregnancy," Catriona Harvey-Jenner of Cosmopolitan reported.

In addition, Markle has been spotted wearing tight-fitting outfits this week, including Emilia Wickstead's dress. Based on her looks, there are no signs of any baby bump.

Markle's father, Thomas Markle Sr., said in his interview with "Good Morning Britain" that his daughter "has wanted children for a long time." He also added that "there's got to be a child" and was optimistic that it "will happen soon."

Erin Specht, who dated Markle's brother, Thomas Jr., for years, have the same opinion about the new royal's enthusiasm to be a mom. According to Specht, Markle is "desperate to have a family of her own."

"She wants kids. She will be an amazing mother. Meghan will get pregnant in her first year of marriage if she can. For certain she will be trying for a baby on their honeymoon – she is going to be a brilliant mum," Specht said.

Markle's husband, Prince Harry, is also interested to be a dad, according to Paul Burrell. Princess Diana's former royal butler shared that the duke is as eager as his wife to start a family.

"I believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will start a family as soon as possible!" Burrell said. "Harry also wants a large family and wants children as quickly as possible."

Markle's photo drinking a glass of champagne is expected to affect the betting odds predicting that the couple will announce their first pregnancy later this year.
