The world has yet to see Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle make a dual public appearance since the former actress announced her engagement to Britain’s Prince Harry last month, but that doesn’t mean details about their relationship are unknown.

For weeks, tabloids have suggested that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and her future sister-in-law do not get along, but it appears the rumors are just that if you look closer at what the two have said about each other.

Following Prince Harry’s engagement to the American TV star, both Catherine and her husband, Prince William, had nothing but kind things to say about the couple’s big news. “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan,” the pair said in a dual statement released by Kensington Palace. “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”

During a solo royal engagement days later, Middleton also offered up additional congratulations to the couple. “William and I are absolutely thrilled,” Middleton said to onlookers outside The Foundling Museum in London last month. “It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

Markle is reported to have first met her future sister-in-law in January at Kensington Palace. At the time, it was said that their introduction went “really well.” Markle seemed to corroborate the report during her first interview with Prince Harry in November. After the prince commented that Markle had met his brother and Catherine a few times, Markle called Catherine’s treatment of her “wonderful.”

It appears Markle has also grown close to Catherine’s inner circle. In May, Markle attended Middleton’s younger sister Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception as Prince Harry’s guest.

Markle and Middleton dual sightings are sure to ramp up as we near closer to the royal wedding in May. In an unprecedented move, the palace has confirmed that Markle will be spending time with the royals this year by taking part in their annual Christmas Day church service on the queen’s private estate.

Being that there’s usually a photo op or two of the royal family during their annual trip to Sandringham House in Norfolk, England, it is safe to say fans of the royals will likely have more Middleton and Markle information, and possibly even a first photo, coming their way shortly.
