Meghan Markle was never considered to be Daniel Craig's leading lady in "James Bond."

On Thursday, The Sun claimed that the "Suits" actress had chances to be the next Bond girl. Unfortunately, her romance with Prince Harry ruled her out from the role.

A so-called source said that the role was perfect for Markle because she is "glamorous and sexy and a good actress." The insider added that Markle was shortlisted with four other actresses, but when her high-profile romance with Prince Harry was publicized, she was taken out.

"The role more recently has gone to actresses deemed to be rising stars, and Meghan certainly was seen as that before her relationship with Harry became public," the insider added.

Gossip Cop debunked such report. The publication has reached out to a mutual pal with Markle who said that there is "no truth" to such claims. The report added that the actress was never considered for the role. "Meghan Markle NOT Considered for Bond Girl Role, Despite Report," its headline read.

Several sources involved with the "James Bond" franchise also told the publication that the story is "incorrect."

In related news, Markle has already decided to end her acting career. In fact, she is not returning to USA Network's "Suits." Thus, there are no chances that she will be playing the Bond girl in the future if ever the production considers her.

"I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change," Markle told BBC in an interview after she and Prince Harry announced their engagement. "It's a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I've been working on ['Suits'] for seven years. We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series…I've ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I've done there, and now it's time to work with [Harry] as a team."

According to an insider, Prince Harry's fiancée has been planning to quit acting even before they met. Markle reportedly wanted to focus on things that she is more passionate about.

"Even before Harry, she was starting to think about transitioning out of acting," an insider said earlier this year. "She wants to focus on other worldly endeavors she is passionate about, like her philanthropy."
