From being a comedian in CBS's “Mike And Molly,” Melissa McCarthy has come a long way. The 44-year-old did her own stunts in the upcoming movie “Spy,” and even got bruised and battered on the set. But the actress has no regrets and says she loved doing the action sequences and looks forward to repeating the experience.

"Weirdly, I loved it -- like I would sign up for another one in a minute," McCarthy said Wednesday at “Spy's” European premiere in London's Leicester Square, according to Reuters. "I loved all the action, I loved the challenge," she added. The comic actress plays the role of CIA analyst Susan Cooper and performed several difficult stunts in the movie. As an undercover agent Cooper, McCarthy fought and even chased cars in the movie to expose an arms dealer.

McCarthy loves to dress up in glamorous dresses when she walks the red carpet and is also gearing up to launch a clothing line for plus-sized women. But for her role in “Spy,” the actress had to portray the character of a very frumpy woman who loves cats. Her co-stars in the movie, Jude Law and Jason Statham, praised McCarthy's comic timings in the movie. Statham even called her “the funniest thing there is in cinema today.”

McCarthy's next movie also has a lot of action and stunts. It is a remake of 1980s comedy “Ghostbusters,” and has an all female cast, including Kristen Wiig. The movie will be directed by her "Spy" director Paul Feig and the actress told Reuters that she is really looking forward to working with the all-female cast.

Apart from working in action movies, McCarthy is also getting ready to launch her first ever collection Melissa McCarthy Seven7, in August. The clothes will come in the size range of 4 to 28 and mostly cater to the needs of plus-sized women. The actress studied textiles at Southern Illinois University and hence took personal interest in each aspect of her clothing line. She told More magazine that her new collection will “break all the rules” of fashion for plus-sized women.
