The trial of Conrad Murray, the iconic pop singer Michael Jackson's personal doctor who has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, started on Tuesday. The image of Jackson's dead body and a voice recording of his slurred speech before his death were released to the jury.

During the opening statement, prosecutors portrayed Murray as an incompetent physician and a reckless caretaker of Jackson for he had purportedly given Jackson an overdose of lethal anesthetic without adequate safeguards and left the singer abandoned and dying.
