It’s been more than a month since Michael Strahan left “Live!” and he’s ready to leave the show in his past. The former NFL player, who signed on to co-host “Good Morning America” in April, is slated to appear on Chelsea Handler’s self-titled Netflix talk show.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Strahan will discuss life after “Live!” during the interview, revealing that he hasn’t “missed it.” The publication reports that Kelly Ripa’s former co-host was feeling burnt out from filming the syndicated talk show, now titled “Live! With Kelly,” though he didn’t realize it until he actually left the program. Though Strahan is on a break before assuming his position as a “Good Morning America” co-host, he says he's been too busy to watch Ripa.

“I really haven’t had a chance to watch,” he shares with Handler. “But I think I’ve been working so hard for the last seven or eight years since I retired from football, that it’s been a relief.”

While Strahan, 44, doesn’t seem too concerned with “Live!” following his exit, fans of the show are still buzzing. Many continue to wonder who will be called in to replace him. There has been no shortage of speculation about Ripa’s new co-host. On May 25, ET reported that ABC was interested in actor Rob Lowe for the position. Lowe has appeared on the syndicated morning talk show before and impressed viewers. Because of this, ABC has considered him for “Live!” on more than one occasion. Following Regis Philbin’s 2012 exit, Lowe was called in for a two-day co-hosting gig. He did not land the position, but may have a shot this time around. While it remains unclear if Lowe has been offered the co-hosting gig, an interview with ET in May suggests that he would gladly accept it.

“I hosted it with Kelly and had the time of my life,” he said during the “How to Be a Latin Lover” premiere. “I love her. ... I love being able to talk to an audience every morning like that and just being fun, counterpunching, being silly and talking about cool stuff.”

Strahan left “Live!” in May. Us Weekly was able to catch him the day before his final broadcast, questioning him about leaving and his alleged feud with Ripa. Strahan said he was having a hard time accepting that he was leaving the show, adding that there were “so many things” he was going to miss. Strahan would not, however, comment on his relationship with Ripa.
