Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann made another gaffe – this time about rock legend Elvis Presley.

Thirty-four years after the death of the King of Rock and Roll -- Bachmann, stumping for her campaign in South Carolina -- wished Elvis a “happy birthday.”

The Minnesota congresswoman and Tea Party favorite played Elvis’ song "Promised Land" on Tuesday at a restaurant in Spartanburg, S.C. and wished him a happy birthday before a crowd of 300.

Someone in the crowded corrected her by shouting: “He died today!”

Reportedly, she didn’t respond to the jibe and continued with her speech.

For the record, Elvis was born on Jan. 8, 1935.
