A 89 year old Michigan man finally paid off a Florida parking ticket after more than 35 years.

Orland police received Stanley Baker's parking payment, $1, for a November 7, 1975 Tuesday.

The ticket was not issued to Baker but was found from a book that he purchased at an Orlando garage sale in 1995. He decided to pay the fine as a lark, though Orlando's parking violations from 1975 have been destroyed.

Baker enclosed the $1 payment in the ticket's original envelope and it was delivered to a police department auditorium.
