Duke coach Mike Krzyzeski became college basketball's winningest coach of all-time after his Blue Devils defeated Michigan State, 74-69, on Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils survived a late rally by Michigan State to help Kryzewski pass his former coach and mentor, Bobby Knight, who announced the game for ESPN. The two shared a long embrace after the victory put the coach solely atop the NCAA's leaderboard for most wins.

Krzyzewski began his career at Army, where he coached for five seasons, before becoming Duke's head coach in 1980. In addition to his spot atop the wins list, Kryzewski has won four national championships, 13 ACC championships, and an Olympic gold medal coaching the United States.
