Former England rugby captain Mike Tindall and his wife Zara Phillips attended the Magic Millions races in Gold Coast, Australia over the weekend. The couple appeared happy and relaxed as they mingled with guests in the VIP area of the event. Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara looked smart in an Ellery dress.

The 34-year-old British royal was invited to the event in her capacity as a Magic Millions Racing ambassador. She looked stunning in a purple and black printed Ellery dress. The dress featured a high neck, short cap sleeves and a flared skirt.

Zara opted for natural make-up including a hint of gloss. Her blonde hair was styled in an elegant up "do". She accessorized with a purple fascinator, a chunky diamond bracelet and drop earrings set. Mike looked handsome in a navy suit and trousers combo, paired with a white shirt and deep red tie.

Missing at the event was the couple’s adorable daughter Mia Tindall, who turns two on Sunday. The tot’s parents discussed her love of horses.

“Mia our daughter has inherited a love of horses, she has a Shetland pony and she enjoys it so I think her mum has passed that love on… me on the other hand, well I’m more of a football man,” doting dad Mike said. The former rugby player was giving an interview to Sydney Morning Herald. His wife Zara is an Olympic equestrian and is undergoing training to compete at the Rio Olympics this year.

Meanwhile, Zara had previously told The Telegraph that she and Mike would support their firstborn in whatever she wanted to do in the future. She added that having Mia has helped her “make better decisions in life” particularly with regards to her career as an eventhing rider. The Olympic silver medalist added that now she only chooses to compete in the right places with more emphasis on quality.
