Could Miley Cyrus and ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth be getting back together nearly a year after they ended their engagement? The pop star said the two still loved each other during a recent interview with Australia’s “Sunday Night” television show, the U.K.’s Daily Mail wrote.

The 21-year-old superstar gushed about the “Hunger Games” actor. “I love Liam, Liam loves me,” the singer told Channel Seven reporter Chris Bath.

Cheating allegations plagued the former couple. When asked about her single “Wrecking Ball," the Nashville-native said it was about self-discovery. “It's about finding yourself,” said Cyrus, whose fourth studio album was "Bangerz." “I had to set myself free.”

When it comes to her fashion choices, like the risqué outfit she donned to the 2013 MTV VMAs, Cyrus has no qualms. "I never think about what someone is going to think," she said. "I've always been into fashion. I grew up around Dolly Parton, who is all … tits."

Hemsworth has also reportedly had kind words to say about Cyrus in July, according to a source. While on vacation in Italy, he supposedly said he and his ex will “always be best friends” and they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection.”

The source said: “Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. He also said they bought a lot of furniture but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place, which was furnished.”

Cyrus and the Australian actor, 24, met on the set of “The Last Song” in 2010. The two were engaged for two years before ultimately calling it quits.

She has since embarked on a world-tour and gained international stardom. She also put on one of the most memorable MTV VMAs performances when she “twerked” on married “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke.
