Fans are gearing up for the upcoming Mists of Pandaria expansion to hit the World of Warcraft franchise. Even though the new release is scheduled for months away, Blizzard revealed that there will be at least two more additions to come.

The studio's COO Paul Sams told CVG that he already has ideas for titles to follow Mists of Pandaria.

Absolutely, because I know what the next one is, he said to the website. So, that being said, I think there's a lot of opportunity.

Sams added that the rest of the development team has plans for the rest of the World of Warcraft franchise.

They already know what they're going to be doing for multiple expansions ahead, he said.

A fifth expansion for the series has been confirmed, but no official announcements have been released.

They have an idea-a general framework, Sams also said to CVG. They're these lore creators. They're the ones who drive what the world looks like today and what it'll be like tomorrow and beyond.

Blizzard has also slowly been dishing out details on the upcoming expansion, focusing on the Pandaren race. Beta testing has been underway since last week, and features have been leaked including additional achievements, images of female Pandarens and a new character slot.

It is unclear whether or not these upcoming titles will boost the franchise's subscribers, which has decreased from 12 million to about 10.3 million subscribers in November, according to ShackNews. In February's financial report, the number sat at 10.2 million.
