“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 12 will center on the Dunphys’ and Pritchetts’ Valentine’s Day celebrations.

In “Do You Believe In Magic?,” Phil (Ty Burrell) is worried that his marriage to Claire (Julie Bowen) has fizzled out. In order to reignite their passion, Phil will call on his alter ego, Clive Bixby. The latter will make their Valentine’s Day celebration special in the hopes that Claire and Phil would fall in love with each other again.

Elsewhere, Jay (Ed O’Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) will have some issues to face in their family. Gloria realizes that Jay is playing favorites between Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Joe (Jeremy Maguire). Their son, Joe, will engage in inappropriate gift-giving, while Manny will continue to struggle with trying to ask the girl that he likes out on a date.

Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) will go on an extravagant boat trip for the special occasion. But their outing will be disrupted by their desire to empower Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) to stand up to men. Cam and Mitchell will rely on Haley (Sarah Hyland) and her friend, Sal (Elizabeth Banks), to teach Lily, but things won’t turn out the way everyone expected.

Phil and Claire’s second daughter, Alex (Ariel Winter), will also discover that she has a secret admirer. But what could have been a wonderful relationship between the two will be ruined by the boy’s involvement with the Dunphys.
