Ariel Winter may be young, but the "Modern Family" actress admits she's had cosmetic surgery -- but it's not what you might think. In a recent interview, Winter, 17, reveals that she got her breasts reduced from a size 32F to 34D.

Speaking with Glamour.com, Winter revealed that she had the procedure done June 4. She elected to have her breasts reduced after struggling for years to dress herself in an "age-appropriate" way. Winter told the publication she was ridiculed by her peers and "Internet bullies" for dressing too scandalously. She claimed, however, that given the size of her chest, she had very few options.

In addition to the bullying, Winter told Glamour she "had a lot of back problems" and was unable to stand for long periods of time. The surgery has alleviated those problems and Winter said she is much happier now. The ABC sitcom star said she feels a sense of relief since having the surgery: "It's amazing to finally feel right."

"It's hard when you're a teenage girl and you already have a lot of ridicule and then you pile on more, and it's kind of...it just gets too much," she said. "We live in a day and age where everything you do is ridiculed. The Internet bullies are awful. I could post a photo where I feel good, and 500 people will comment about how fat I am, and that I am disgusting. On [red carpets], I just said to myself, 'You have to do your best to look confident and stand up tall, and make yourself look as good as you can in these photos,' because everyone is going to see them. I definitely seemed confident; I'm an actress, that's what we do. But on the inside, I wasn't feeling so happy."

As previously reported, on Sept. 23 Winter will be returning to "Modern Family" in her role as Alex Dunphy for the next-season premiere, alongside her one-of-a-kind on-screen family. The series will be bringing back the entire cast for Season 7, with one minor change: They've hired a new child actor to take on the role of Joe Pritchett, the youngest son of Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) Pritchett. Producers reportedly decided to recast the role, choosing an older actor to fill the previous one's shoes. On Aug. 7 Deadline announced that Jeremy McGuire had been chosen for the part.
