Ten-man England secured their place in the Euro 2012 Finals with a 2-2 draw with Montenegro at the Pedgorica Stadium in Montenegro.

Ashley Young and Darren Bent put England in the lead early on and most of the first half was controlled by England. However, the tide turned as the half progressed and Montenegro got one back through Elsad Zverotic at the stroke of half time.

The home side put in a spirited performance in the second half. England weren't helped by Rooney who became only the second England player - after David Beckham - to receive two red cards. It came after needlessly kicking out at Miodrag Dzudovic, in the 73 minute, after a tackle.

Andrija Delibasic scored the equalizer in injury time, which earned his team a spot in the play-off berth, while it wasn't costly for England either as they booked their place in the main tournament next year.
