Motaba the gorilla does not appreciate being teased.

Ella O’Brien, 6, and her 4-year-old sibling Bridget, were pestering the ape with bananas when he decided to get the better of them and photobomb their family photo, Metro UK reports.

The sisters were visiting the Werribee Open Range Zoo in Melbourne, Australia – Motaba’s home for the past two years.

A photo taken before the now-viral photobomb shows the girls taunting the gorilla with bananas. Motaba, obviously upset, sticks out his tongue in a fierce expression illustrating his frustration.

The 29-year-old ape is the father of five. Born in the U.K., he later moved to the Melbourne Zoo in 1990.

Animals have a long history of upstaging their human counterparts while on vacation. Last year, a stingray made waves after jumping into a photo and onto a bunch of tourists in the Cayman Islands. A horse, shark and penguin have also stolen the spotlight.
