Jennifer Aniston did admit that she and her mom got back in touch after Aniston split from ex-husband, Brad Pitt. The two had been estranged since the older woman went public with some private information. "We've exchanged messages," Aniston told Vanity Fair in 2005. "Our doors are open. We're taking baby steps. It's a good thing."

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore famously got herself out of a partying lifestyle that began at a young age. "My own mum cared about Hollywood and I didn’t," Barrymore told the Daily Mail in 2010. "I wanted to act and I loved the creativity of it, but I didn’t care for the lifestyle." Just the previous year she told InStyle magazine that she and her mother were still working out their issues. "I am okay with my dad, but my mom and I have yet to work it out," she told the magazine, according to a People report.

Frances Bean Cobain

Frances Bean Cobain had a recent public spat with her mother via Twitter, after Courtney Love tweeted that Foo Fighters member Dave Grohl made advances to her daughter. Cobain issued the following tweets in April, according to a Daily Mail report: "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn." "I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way." "I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."

Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel has opened up about her troubled relationship with her own mother, who she alleges had problems with alcoholism and eating disorders. It's not clear whether the two spent Mother's Day together, but it sounds as if Frankel had a good time. "Today was a wonderful mother's day! What a great feeling!" she tweeted.

Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester and her mother sued each other last year. The older woman claimed that her daughter did not give her money she had promised, while the "Gossip Girl" actress claimed that her mother wasn't using the money the way they had agreed it would be used: care for her younger brother, who had had brain surgery, Reuters reported. Meester's mother dropped the lawsuit by the end of the year, according to a Daily Mail report.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman's daughter, Isabella Cruise, who she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise when the two were still together, recently denied that she and her mother have a tense relationship. Kidman had hinted otherwise in 2007. "I love mom. She's my mom. She's great. I see her sometimes and I speak to her," Cruise recently told New Idea magazine, according to a Daily Mail report.
