Motorola is gearing up to unveil two new handsets namely the Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 on Tuesday, while both the devices are headed to Verizon. Meanwhile, a slew of alleged press renders show the aforesaid devices in many color and texture combinations.

Evan Blass of @EvLeaks fame has uploaded colorful, high-resolution renders of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2. Going by the leaked images, the upcoming smartphones will be made available with either a black or a white front panel color, in addition to a slew of back panel choices, similar to other Moto devices.

The leaked renders show a total of three back covers for the Droid Turbo 2. While two of the panels are textured, there is another option with smooth back shell. In any case, GSM Arena said that there could be a fourth option with black color and smooth panel combination. Moving on to the Motorola Droid Maxx 2, the renders show a blue and a white chassis. However, rumors say, there could be many other color options.

When it comes to Droid Maxx 2 specifications, the mid-range handset will reportedly come equipped with a 5.5-inch display and 1080p screen resolution. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 chipset will be powering the device with 2 GB of RAM on board. A 21-megapixel rear-facing sensor is also believed to be part of the smartphone.

Meanwhile, the Droid Turbo 2 is apparently the flagship device with a Snapdragon 810 chip, 5.4-inch display and a QHD screen resolution. This device has been rumored to feature a shatterproof screen and a huge 3,760 mAh battery, which is capable of offering up to 48 hours of battery life. Nevertheless, readers are advised to take the reported specifications with the proverbial pinch of salt as Motorola has not confirmed any information so far.

Here, readers can check out the alleged renders of the new Droid devices. As it turns out, the first three images belong to Droid Turbo 2 variants with Verizon logo at the front and a Droid logo affixed on the back. The last two images seemingly pertain to the Droid Maxx 2. This handset comes with a clean front and the logos of both Verizon and Droid sit at the back.
