Motorola to include small projectors on its mobile devices

Future Motorola, Inc. mobile devices may include tiny projectors to display images on walls or other surfaces.

Handset maker Motorola (NYSE: MOT) inked a deal with imaging firm Microvision to integrate the company's '˜PicoP' laser-based projection technology into a handset for demonstration purposes, the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.

Working together with Microvision, we are pursuing ways that projection technology can redefine how mobile consumers view and interact with the media they take with them, Rob Shaddock, chief technology officer for Motorola Mobile Devices business said.
