The latest episode of “Mr. Robot” focused on Elliot's (Rami Malek) relationship with Mr. Robot (Christian Slater). The two finally sorted things out, and Elliot has accepted that the image he created of his dead father is a part of him. The episode also revealed what fans had been thinking of since the new installment started: Elliot is in prison.

However, the upcoming episode, titled “eps2.6succ3ss0r.p12,” will explore other troubles introduced in the current season. While Darlene (Carly Chaikin) and the rest of fsociety were able to hack the FBI with the help of Angela (Portia Doubleday), they have not been able to turn the situation around and authorities will be on the hunt for their heads.

In a teaser for the upcoming episode, Darlene, Trenton (Sunita Mani) and Mobley (Azhar Khan) could be seen scrambling after finding out that there is a special surveillance tracking them. The clip also teases tension between the three. Darlene and Cisco (Michael Drayer) appear to be on good terms again.

Will Elliot get out of jail in time for him to help the group? Series creator Sam Esmail teased in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Elliot will be set free soon. The producer, who also directed all the episodes of the current season, said that apart from being free from his battle with Mr. Robot, he will also get physical freedom.

“Now we'll actually see him get to engage back into the main plotline, but with that new dynamic intact,” Esmail said.

Aside from what will happen in the upcoming episode, viewers should also keep an eye out for answers to the current season's most pressing questions. When asked if the reason behind Elliot's imprisonment and Tyrell's (Martin Wallstrom) whereabouts will be revealed soon, Esmail said viewers will get answers before the season ends.

“Mr. Robot” Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on USA.
