Months after Jeremy Meek, dubbed the ‘hot felon’ by the internet, walked the ramp for New York Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, another felon's mugshot has landed him a modeling contract. Mekhi Alante Lucky from North Carolina has been signed by Atlanta-based St Claire's Modeling, according to reports.

Lucky was arrested in April 2016 for speeding and driving a stolen vehicle but his luck turned for the better when Twitter account Wake Mugshots — that describes itself as a collection of mugshots from Wake County, North Carolina — posted his photo on the microblogging site. Soon, his mug shot went viral on social media because of his irises of different colors — he has one piercing blue eye and one brown eye. The internet soon dubbed Lucky "Prison Bae."

Lucky has two different colored eyes due to a condition called heterochromia. While some infants are born with the condition, it can also be developed after birth. St Claire's introduced him last week when it posted multiple shoot photos on its website under the category "Special Bookings." The agency also shared a series of shots on Instagram.

Lucky has also got a huge fan following on his Instagram page with more than 21,000 followers. He shares glimpses of his personal life on Instagram and posted a photo of his baby girl on Aug. 3.

Lucky is following the footsteps of Meeks, whose mugshot was posted on Facebook by Stockton Police Department in 2014. The photograph had soon garnered 75,000 likes, 20,000 comments and was shared more than 10,000 times, reports said. He was nicknamed "The Blue Eyed Bandit" and "Jail Bae." Meeks was released in March 2016 after being charged with gun possession and resisting arrest on June 18, 2014.

When Meeks' bail was raised, his mother had also capitalized on his fame to collect funds by setting up a GoFundMe page to raise money for his release, a report said.

After his release, the 33-year-old signed a $30,000 modeling contract with Blaze Modelz in Los Angeles, according to reports. The agency, which is based in Santa Monica, California, claimed that Meeks could be booked for runway jobs with high-end fashion houses like Versace and Armani. The agency also said Meeks's tattoos could make him more favorable for modeling assignments, according to TMZ.

However, Meeks has had a terrible past. He served a nine-year sentence after he was charged with robbery and corporal injury to a 16-year-old child in 2002. He had later admitted to ABC-affiliate KXTV that he was a gang member and he had a gun in his car boot. Years later, he was again arrested and released from Mendota Federal Correctional Institution on March 8, 2016.

He was recently snapped getting intimate with Chloe Green, the heiress of Topshop, a fashion company, on a yacht off the coast of Turkey, reports said.
