News Corp.'s MySpace awarded a British media company, exclusive rights to distribute video programming from the social networking site on broadcast television outside the U.S. and to sell DVDs and related merchandise.

News Corp. didn't release financial details for its deal with ShineReveille International, a unit of London based The Shine Group.

MySpace retained the right to distribute content from MySpcaeTV online and over mobile networks worldwide including broadcast networks in the U.S.

MySpaceTV has several series which are co-produced by MySpace including Roommates and Special Delivery.

MySpace spokesman, Paul Armstrong said NBC briefly aired MySpaceTV production, Quarterlife, during the Hollywood writers' strike this week, helping the series to be picked up by other channels such as Bravo cable channel.
