NASA-themed corn mazes around the country are paying homage to the organization's 50th anniversary of human space flight by creating seven so-called space farms.

When the plans were explained to NASA, the agency was happy to contribute design themes and recommendations for each region, as well as education and outreach materials so that the public can learn more about NASA, NASA said on its Web site.

The corn mazes are in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Lehi, Utah, Lathrop, California, Brookshire, Texas, Schaghticoke, New York, The Rock, Georgia, and Gretna, Nebraska.

They are open to the public and will have games and activities related to space.
