Home isn’t always where the heart is. Maddie has decided she wants to leave not only her home, but also her parents. The teenager is trying to emancipate herself from Rayna and Deacon in “Nashville” Season 4. They’ll frantically search for ways to convince Maddie to stay in episode 17.

Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) know that talking to Maddie (Lennon Stella) hasn’t been the most effective thing lately, so they’ll bring in someone else. “Rayna and Deacon try everything they can think of to reunite with Maddie and avoid court, even involving Teddy (Eric Close) from jail,” the synopsis for the ABC drama reveals. Will the man who raised Maddie be able to convince her that Cash (Jessy Schram) doesn’t have her best interest in mind?

Maybe they should try showing her what life on the road is really like. After all, it looks like Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), Layla (Aubrey Peeples) and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) are going to have a rough tour. “Juliette tries to rekindle her relationship with Avery, and her success on tour stokes Layla’s jealousy, personally and professionally,” the synopsis reveals.

Layla isn’t the only one who is jealous. In the trailer for episode 17, titled “Baby Come Home,” Juliette asks if something is happening between Avery and Layla, and then she begs Avery to give their relationship another chance. “If we work together, we could rebuild what we had,” she reasons.

“Nashville” Season 4, episode 17 airs Wednesday, April 27, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
