Once a year retailers nationwide gather together to celebrate the love of coffee. Friday, Sept. 29, marks National Coffee Day 2017. For all those caffeine-lovers out there, we’ve compiled a list of 10 places where you get a free, or heavily discounted, cup of coffee in honor of the occasion on Friday. Without futher ado, here are 10 National Coffee Day freebies to enjoy this year!

Freebies

Dunkin’ Donuts

Customers can get a free, medium hot coffee with the purchase of a medium or larger hot coffee on Friday. Singing up for DD Perks, the Dunkin’ Donuts rewards app, will also result in year-round freebies. Customers get free beverages on their birthday and after they reach 200 points.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme canceled their annual National Pirate Day doughnut day giveaway this year, but they are celebrating National Coffee Day. Customers can get a free any-size hot coffee or a small iced-coffee on Friday through Oct. 1.

This offer is only valid at Krispy Kreme shops and not grocery store or convenience store locations. Other locations not participating in this deal include Connecticut casino locations, Wichita, Kansas, Springfield, and Branson, Missouri and two locations in Florence, South Carolina.

Cumberland Farms

If you have cell phone, you can participate in this year’s Cumberland Farms National Coffee Day freebie. Customers who text “FREECOFFEE” to 64827 on Friday will receive a mobile coupon that can be redeemed for a free Farmhouse Blend or Bold coffee of any size, hot or iced, at any locations in the northeast. For those who like a little extra flavor in their pick-me-up beverage, customizable flavor shots -- which include seasonal treats such as pumpkin -- will be available at no additional cost.

Guests who don’t prefer coffee can also pick between tea, a cappuccino or hot chocolate.

The freebies don’t end there! Cumberland Farms is also bringing back Free Coffee Fridays. This means the every Friday, starting on Oct. 13, customers can get a free coffee. No coupon will be needed to redeem the second offer.

Peet’s Coffee

When you download the Peetnik Rewards app, you can earn a free beverage after your first check-in. Customers also get “a little love for every cup” by earring a point for every check-in. Fifteen points results in a fee beverage. Rewards members can also get a free drink on their birthday.

WaWa

Customers can get a free coffee of any size all day long at any of WaWa’s 760 locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida on Sept. 29. Coffee lovers will be overjoyed to learn that customers are allowed to come in more than once to get their free WaWa beverage on National Coffee Day.

“What makes Wawa’s coffee day celebration unique is the fact that customers can come in multiple times and are able to get any size free coffee –- selecting from eight delicious varieties of freshly-brewed coffee all day,” the company said in a press release.

“At Wawa we are always looking to connect with our customers in a meaningful way, so we are thrilled to be a part of National Coffee Day by offering customers our most beloved beverage for free, all day long, at all of our locations,” Mike Sherlock, Wawa’s Chief Fresh Food & Beverage Officer, added. “We toast all those who wish to come into one of our stores to try our delicious coffee!”

Cinnabon

Cinnabon has advertised in their official Facebook page that customers can get a free, 12-ounce coffee all-day long on Friday. This offer is valid for U.S. locations only.

Deals

Caribou Coffee

It’s not a freebie, but it’s always a good deal when you can help out others. Throughout the month of October, Caribou Coffee is donating 10 percent of its purchases (up to $250,000) to CancerCare, an organization that provides support, including financial aide, to those affected by cancer. Keurig

For those who prefer a home brew, Keurig is also getting in on the National Coffee Day action. The company is offering 20 percent of all of their K-Cup pods on Keurig.com on Friday through Sunday, Oct. 1. “So whether you’re into light or dark, delicate or bold, brand-name or artisanal there will be hundreds of delicious varieties available,” Keurig told International Business Times in an email. To participate in this offer enter the code “CELEBRATE” at checkout.

Starbucks

It isn’t a National Coffee Day freebie, but fans of Starbucks Coffee can sign up for their rewards program to get freebies all year long. Member purchases add up to free food and drinks (you can get “two stars” for every $1 spent). App reward participants also get a free reward on their birthday and free in-store refills.

McDonalds

You can’t get a coffee day freebie at McDonald’s but you get can discounted coffee through Oct. 1. Customers can get any small McCafé espresso drink for $2. Once per week, patrons can also get a medium McCafé drink for free with any purchase using the McDonald’s. This offer is for a limited time only and is only applicable at participating U.S. locations.
