It’s Christmas time this week on “NCIS Los Angeles” Season 7, Episode 11. The foreboding title “Cancel Christmas,” hints that not everyone is having a merry season, least of all a man who gets run over by a truck carrying Christmas trees.

The team investigates the accident and it didn’t take long for Eric Beal (Barettt Foa) and Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) to realize that the death wasn’t accidental at all. The victim, a man named Jason Lam, appears to have been injected with some kind of toxin, before he wandered off disoriented into oncoming traffic.

It turns out that Lam is a suspected North Korean spy, and he’s been running a furniture store as his cover. G. Callum (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam Hannah (LL Cool J) head out to investigate. While there, they find a Korean woman who pretends to be an employee. When she attacks G, they manage to bring her in and they realize that she was the one who injected Lam with the toxin. Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) recognizes the girl and knows that she’s also a North Korean spy. Now known as Jennifer Kim, she is the daughter of a former flame that he met decades ago, while in Asia.

While looking for other possible suspects who have a motive to go after Lam, the team discovers that a smuggler known as Mike Hobbes has just been released from prison. He is known to have worked with Lam in the past, and he smuggles illegal contraband from Asia into the United States.

Hobbes tries to distance himself from the situation and maintains that he’s just trying to start a new life. The team follows him and they discover that he’s kept the names of Korean spies that he smuggled into the country. He agrees to make a deal with the NCIS and pretends to sell the information back to the Koreans. During the sting operation, the team manages to catch the potential buyers.

Now that the case is closed, everyone starts to think about the holidays. Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) both want to spend time together, but their mothers are insisting on making christmas dinner. Sam solves the problem by inviting them both to his house, including their moms. G. also joins them, but not before he and Joelle mutually agree to end their relationship by the New Year.

“NCIS Los Angeles” Season 7 returns on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
